We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and supporting various accounting functions within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist Controller on preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end close processes.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of transactions.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment processing, and collections.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and provide support as needed.
- Assist with external parties and provide documentation as required.
- Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA candidate or CPA designation preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in accounting or related fields.
- Manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
