Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and supporting various accounting functions within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis. 
  • Assist Controller on preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. 
  • Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end close processes. 
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of transactions. 
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment processing, and collections. 
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and provide support as needed. 
  • Assist with external parties and provide documentation as required. 
  • Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 
  • CPA candidate or CPA designation preferred. 
  • 2-4 years of experience in accounting or related fields. 
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred. 
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. 

Financial Controller

We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Controller to lead our financial operations and oversee all aspects of accounting and reporting. The Controller will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of financial information, implementing internal controls, and providing financial guidance to senior management. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of accounting principles, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving financial success. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the accounting department and oversee day-to-day operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll. 
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations. 
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and realistic financial projections.
  • Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities. 
  • Coordinate and manage the year-end audit process, liaising with external auditors and providing necessary documentation. 
  • Provide strategic financial guidance and support to senior management, including financial analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting. 
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns. 
  • Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development. 
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred. 
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. 
  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends. 
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. 
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. 
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
