Engineering Manager
The ideal candidate is a motivated problem-solver with a history of working in the automotive or composite material industries. Salary Range: $100k – $130k DOE.
Responsibilities
- Manage the engineering team
- Establish and maintain customer files, including engineering standards, blueprints and other associated materials and information
- Analyze, evaluate, and test new and existing processes
- Investigate and troubleshoot any problems that arise with processes and procedures
- Collaborate with the sales team to create new products
- Assist in the implementation of new products
- Participate in contract review and quoting procedure
- Create budgets
- Strong planning skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- BS Degree in Engineering or related field
- At least 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to collaborate with others at all levels of the organization along with vendors and customers outside the company
- Strong planning skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Working knowledge of Lean Tools e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Cell Design, Standard Work, Jidoka, 6-Sigma
- Working knowledge of composites industry and specifically, composite panel knowledge strongly preferred
- CAD – SolidWorks preferred
- Proficient in computer technology and systems
- Familiarity with ISO 9001
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
