Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience (minimum 7-10 years) in a plant management role within the metal stamping industry, preferably in the automotive environment.
- In-depth knowledge of metal stamping processes, equipment, and related technologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration and maintain strong relationships with associates.
Job Details:
- Plan, organize, and direct all manufacturing activities in the metal stamping plant to achieve quality standards, production goals, and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor and optimize production processes, ensuring efficiency, minimal downtime, and timely delivery of products to customers.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and other continuous improvements methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Ensure that all manufacturing processes adhere to safety regulations, quality assurance protocols, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to implement effective quality control measures and drive initiatives to achieve zero-defect production.
- Build and lead a skilled team of production supervisors, maintenance, tool room supervisors, materials manager, and technicians, fostering a positive work environment, professional development, and teamwork.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to perform effectively.
- Oversee a safety-first culture within the plant and implementation of safety procedures. Make sure there is compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
