Responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in retail, commercial, and industrial buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain electrical systems in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
- Inspect and test electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Install and repair electrical wiring, switches, outlets, and fixtures.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including materials used and labor hours.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical work
- Valid electrician’s license or certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrician
- Strong knowledge of local and national electrical codes and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail
- Physical ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and lift heavy objects.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
