Bi-Lingual Production Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Bilingual Production Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the production processes to ensure the efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacture of products. This role requires a strong background in laminating, glueing, woodworking, sanding, and CNC operations, combined with proven leadership skills. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in manufacturing operations, a solid understanding of Lean and Toyota Production System (TPS) principles, and extensive proficiency in MS Office applications.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Oversight: Supervise daily production activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production staff. Provide training and support to ensure team members are skilled in laminate processing, glueing, woodworking, sanding, and CNC operations.
  • Process Improvement: Implement and maintain Lean Manufacturing principles and TPS methodologies to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall product quality.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and evaluate production processes and products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Equipment Management: Oversee the operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment used in laminate, glueing, woodworking, sanding, and CNC tasks.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and address production issues promptly, including troubleshooting equipment problems and resolving personnel conflicts.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production metrics, safety incidents, and process improvements. Prepare reports for management review.
  • Bilingual Communication: Utilize bilingual skills to effectively communicate with a diverse team and facilitate smooth operations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing operations, with a strong background in laminating, glueing, woodworking, sanding, and CNC knowledge.
  • Lean/TPS Experience: At least 2 years of experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles and Toyota Production System (TPS) methodologies.
  • Bilingual Skills: Fluent (e.g., English and Spanish) with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both languages.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in the operation and troubleshooting of laminate processing equipment, glueing systems, woodworking tools, sanding machinery, and CNC machines.
  • Software Skills: Extensive experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Leadership Qualities: Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to drive team performance and foster a collaborative work environment.

Additional Information:

  • Work Environment: The role is primarily based in a manufacturing environment with occasional office tasks.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move materials, stand for extended periods, and work in a variety of conditions.
